Hi Jaypee63,Thanks for the support.Nice that my Instructable can get a conversation started.I think bbqandbeer had some valid points and I wasn't upset by the comment.Sometimes we can sound more intense than intended when we make comments.(Benefit of the doubt).The main point I'd like to make is "FERMENT SOMETHING" (sorry for yelling) its easy, fun, and healthy. Even when you mess with traditional recipes.

Great idea! I find sushi to be quite heavy on the stomach with all the rice. This looks like a nice light snack. It still allows for one to be creative with their cross section artistic vision.

Yes, I agree PaulC448.Scapes are nice and spicy as well. I take them while they are young as well. When I have sale for them, customers like nice curly ones. I like to get them at only a few inches in length for myself. I figure the sooner I get them off the sooner the bulb gets the nutrients.Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Such a sad thing, not being able to eat garlic. Glad the scapes work for you. Scape pesto is a must try if you have fresh ones. I've never made it with frozen ones but I would think they would work as well. I never thought of selling them mail order. Are they just zip locked and put in an envelope?

Hi 23topher67,Thanks for commenting. the bench should last for many years.Pallet wood is so under utilized. My boy's brewery gets them in with every grain and bottle delivery. I had just started to use them when COVID19 hit. Our locations are 2hrs apart and travel is frowned upon at the moment. I hope to stock up once restrictions let up a bit.

Nicely done. Employing child labor is genius, during these COVID restrictions its hard to get help.Pallets are such versatile building material. When you don't use the water table any longer, make something else out of it.A rigid plastic one would have few uses in it's after life.

Thanks for the tip charlessenf-gm,I had thought about the wet hands issue. That's why I used the location I did. I don't think water could travel up into the box with it being upside down. I also find the location perfect for just pushing the switch with the back of my wrist if my hands are wet. The drips end up in the sink.My house was built in 1864 and was wired and plumbed poorly. My entire kitchen was on one 15 amp circuit when I took it over. I slowly replace things as required and most times I rewire directly from the panel. This eliminates knob and tube where it still exists. I will at some point add a GFCI breaker to this line and add a wall outlet to the circuit as well. A dedicated 15 amp line for one led light is overkill.Happy Instructabling.

Hi AKOldman,Thanks, I think it looks nice as well. It was a lot of work, as are most hand crafted items. The project took weeks to complete. I made it part of the morning ritual. Feed the sheep, collect the eggs, work on the the rope for a while. The work on the mat didn't take as long as making the rope. Mind you I have three more pieces of rope hanging in the barn. I didn't measure the rope but the mat is 18" X 32" that would be an area of 576" The rope itself is about 1" wide so I would estimate the rope would have been around 48' long. Hi Gadisha, It was truly inspired by the beer from Brothers Brewing Company. When the brothers came up with that idea, we thought we would make a run of soap for them to sell at the brewery, incorporating the beer. We've seen beer soap offered at lots of craft breweries. The addition of oatmeal exfoliant we've done before and we've added luffa as well. But the beer demanded a new approach. With a name like Ramswool oatmeal stout we had no choice in the matter. It was a great discovery. I see you have a great felted piece of fiber in your Instructable Solar System Spiral Earring. It would make an interesting Instructable for the current fiber contest. Most of the processed garlic in the retail market is from china. They use questionable processes. They offer it to us for less than it costs to ship it here. I won't consume it or feed it to my family. I grow my own organic garlic. I am currently growing 4000 head for the 2020 season. Any heads that aren't perfect I set aside for making extruded and powdered products.

While browsing your collection of Instructables, I was excited to see sweet chestnuts. I have a row of them that my great uncle planted around 80 years ago. After the blight went through the area killing most of the indigenous trees, he went on a hunt. He traveled north America collecting blight resistant trees, he replanted them around the Niagara Peninsula. I have a row of 30 or so. Some are tiny and super sweet others are larger and less sweet. They are all great roasted but the little ones are fantastic raw. I use a razor blade utility knife to cut the X before roasting. rather than slicing I just poke it in pull it out turn a quarter turn an poke again. The blade is so sharp its almost effortless. There great over a campfire as well. Happy roasting!

Hi rwlc, Thanks for the complimentary words. I wonder how twine would work as a wick for a tiki torch. I also use it in the garden, I grow my hops horizontally like grapes. A few strands tied together between T posts works like a charm. Again thanks for the coment.
