Fried Sandwich

About: I am a mother of two sons. I love cooking, crafting, everything related to technology, especially robot and computer. Follow me at: ,…

I watched so many tutorials and recipes about sandwiches on the internet. The one that I have never taste is fried sandwich. Therefore, I challenged myself to make one and shared it with others. Here is my recipe.

Mozarella Cheese

3 Eggs

Oil for frying

Potato (optional)

Black Pepper

Garlic Powder (for French fries, optional)

Step 1: Prepared Bread Crumb

Before making the bread crumb, preheat the oven to 350°F. Place five slices of bread nicely on the baking sheet. Bake them for about 10 minutes. Flip them and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the breads are dry to touch, but not too brown or toast. Remove from the heat and let them cool. Grind them into the food processor. Put the bread crumb on the plate. Set aside.

Step 2: Eggs

Crack the eggs into the bowl. Add some salt and pepper.
Blend with fork until incorporated.

Step 3: Ham and Bacon

Place ham and bacon to the frying pan. Fry them gently until all brownish. Set aside.

Step 4: Trimming the Bread

Step 5: Flour

Prepare some flour on the plate.

Step 6: Arrange the Bread

Step 7: Dipping the Bread-1

Dip each sandwich into the flour for each side. Make sure all sides are covered with flour nicely.

Step 8: Dipping the Bread-2

Dip the bread to the egg mixture by using fork. Make sure all surfaces are covered with egg mixture.

Step 9: Dipping the Bread-3

Place the bread to the bread crumb. Dip it until all surfaces are cover with bread crumb.

Step 10: Frying

Fry the bread on the medium heat one sandwich at a time until golden brown. Flip it. Wait until all sides are golden brown. Prepare the plate covered with paper towel. Take out the sandwich and put on the plate and serve.

Step 11: Optional: Homemade French Fries

This step is not a must. It is only optional. You can skip this step as you desire. I made a side dish for my sandwich, which is French Fries. It is very simple and not fancy at all. Peel off the potato and wash it completely. Cut the potato as shown in the picture. Sprinkle with some salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Fry them on medium heat. Drain them on the plate with a paper towel on it.

Step 12: Time to Eat…

Now it is the time to serve the dish. After cooling, cut the sandwich in half. Serve it on the plate. For additional, I served this sandwich with my homemade French Fries. Enjoy! Thank you for reading my instructables.

Oh I fergit, let them cool enough, good cheese melted will burn you in the mouth or as a drip. I found out as a kid with good pizza and calzones.

I never had a monte cristo until 10 years ago . It was made with Challa. Too fat hard to eat and underdone, they were bleah. These are thinner more managable.

These can be dessert or savory btw. IF there are no White Castle joints near by or a good diner, these would top off a night of partying, were it not for covid 19.

They can be very very evil.....sinful when done right. I give you a vote!!

As I was making it I noticed that it was very similar to a Monte Cristo sandwich so I added jam to dip in.

Yes, it is similar with Monte Cristo sandwich. As I mention in the introduction, I made this with regarding so many tutorials and recipes of sandwiches on the internet :)
But I do not like jam, so I opted out that option with other fillings that my kids and I loved. thanks for the comment. Does it taste good?
