The Tinkercad Student Design Contest is for all students who are usingTinkercad. To enter, you simply need to post an instructable showing how you made a Tinkercad 3D design as part of your homeschooling experience. No 3D printer is required!

We are giving away two prizes of$100 gift cardsfor the following five categories:

Make it Move– To win this prize, you need to demonstrate that you have designed and made something with functioning moving parts.

Connectors– This prize is for any project that encourages the creation of connectors. It can be as simple as an L-bracket for a robot or as complicated as connecting a bicycle to power a blender. We are looking for creativity and functionality.

Silly Solutions– Show us an example of how you identified a problem, or something broken, and used 3D design to create a fix.

Mashup– Show us how you took two of your favorite things (or things from the gallery) and creatively combined them to make something new.

Scene– This prize is for designs of physical spaces, from parks and landmarks to undersea adventures.

HOW IT WORKS

Write an Instructable

Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Apr 6, 2020 and Aug 10, 2020 (11:59pm PT).

Enter

Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Tinkercad Student Design Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.

Accepting

Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.

Voting

Instructables members can vote for an entry during the contest plus 3 days after the contest closes.

Judging

A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.

Winners

When the winners are decided they will be announced here on the contest page. All entrants will be notified when this happens.
